Car knocks down rare deer
Recently, there is a newspaper article reporting that a rare sambar deer, once thought to be extinct became roadkill when it was hit by a car at dawn on the Seletar expressway(SLE).The driver was a tourist from Malaysia, and he was thought to have seen something 'floating'in the air.He had no time to react and hit the rare deer.No one knows how many sambar deer there are in the wild here.It was estimated to be left fewer than 20 in Singapore.
Japan will ignore bluefin tuna ban.
A recent newspaper article reporting that JAPAN would ignore any ban on international trade in Atlantic bluefin tuna. The ban was supposed to save the species from being extinct. Most European nations supported the ban.Unfortunately,JAPAN,which consumes three quarters of the global catch of bluefin tuna opposed the ban. This was a great impact to the bluefin tuna as they are going to be extinct.I hope that SPAIN,GREECE and MALTA will stop supplying bluefin tuna for JAPAN.

Recession saves brown bears
Recently, there is a newspaper article reporting that BULGARIAN brown bears have been thrown a life line by the economic crisis as hunters can no longer afford the high cost of shooting them. This is a very good news for those brown bears as they are spared from getting killed. But this can never solve the ploblem because economic crisis is only for a period of time. But at least this could help save a few bears from being killed.
